What is one thing you can’t live without? Queer Joy

Jovana Jo Djordjevic is a queer feminist activist from Serbia where she has been part of various feminist collectives and networks. For over a decade, Jo has been working in feminist philanthropy and designed movement-driven participatory grantmaking models and implemented programmatic strategies that contribute to sustaining the activism of feminist organizing and cross-movement connections. She has managed a global participatory grantmaking and advocacy at FRIDA The Young Feminist Fund and developed funding approaches that center the interests, needs, and well-being of feminist movements. Jo has had an opportunity to share feminist dreaming spaces with the organizers across geographies and backgrounds and cultivate learnings that have shaped the foundations of her intersectional feminist politics and practice today. Jo has contributed to various research and advocacy strategies to mobilize the philanthropic sector towards more trust-based and participatory funding approaches. She has worked with Astraea Lesbian Foundation for Justice, International Trans Fund, Urgent Action Fund for Feminist Activism, Dalan Fund and many others.
